About the Role.

　　The IT Learning and Development Specialist will play a critical role in delivering solutions in line with the department's business strategy. This role is responsible for partnering with IT leadership to develop professionals at all levels of the department and foster a culture of continuous education and improvement. The IT L&D Specialist will own the design, development, delivery, and oversight of the IT training curriculum. The position will report to the Director, Learning and Development with a strong dotted line relationship to the VP, IT CFO and SVP, Head of IT.

　　What You'll Do.

　　The IT L&D Specialist is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of training programs for IT professionals at PURE. This includes technical skills such as agile, kanban, and waterfall project management as well as soft skills around leading development teams, effective communication, and onboarding for staff at all levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the IT industry and the latest trends in learning and development.

　　A Day in the Life:

　　A typical day could include the following: Meeting with business leaders in person or virtually to better understand their teams' knowledge and skill needs, working with vendors to ensure delivery of high quality, relevant training content, facilitating a workshop in person or on Zoom, coaching technical experts on how best to deliver content, creating e-learning modules to be used by IT staff, developing an onboarding curriculum, and bringing excellent attention to detail to managing learning events. The responsibilities will encompass the following:

　　Conduct needs assessments to identify training needs for IT professionals.Design and develop training programs that meet identified needs.Deliver training programs to IT professionals.Build relationships with excellent vendor partners who can facilitate training.Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.Collaborate with other departments to ensure that training programs are aligned with corporate learning priorities.Stay up to date on the latest trends in learning and development focused on IT needs.Assist in the implementation of new hire programs ensuring they are set up for success.

　　What we are looking for.

　　Bachelor's degree in education, training, or a related field is preferred.5+ years of experience in learning and development, preferably focusing on IT professionals.Strong understanding of soft-skills training, agile, kanban, and waterfall project managementA problem solver with an upbeat, proactive styleExperience in leading development teamsExcellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

　　The base salary for this role can range from $75K - $90K, based on a full-time work schedule. An individual's ultimate compensation will vary depending on job-related skills and experience, geographic location, alignment with market data, and equity among other team members with comparable experience.
