The hourly rate for this position is 20.50 per hour.

What you’ll do:
Eaton’s Dallas Distribution Center is looking for an Inventory Controls Tech to join our team! The distribution center / warehouse is 20 minutes south of downtown Dallas.

In this function you will:
• Perform Cycle counts and opportunistic counts for (for all items stored in warehouse) on a daily basis to keep our inventory location accuracy to a minimum of 80%
• Verify inventory locations for any discrepancies, researches product discrepancies, locates misplaced product and makes inventory adjustment (Consolidates bins for optimal picking)
• Manage claims, verifies inventory locations for discrepancies to verify claims, and makes inventory adjustment. Review movement to determine unused items and recommend disposal of excess materials
• Verify materials and quantities against packing list sent by customer, inspects the integrity of product received, evaluates claims, and repacks products with damaged boxes, sends information to headquarter offices to process credits
• Process returns for credit with use of computer system, evaluates the condition of the product to determine if the customer will receive full credit. Process requests to obtain claim authorization numbers and process credit through VISTA/WMS
• Assist in correction of associate picking issues
• Accurately unloads and receives material
• Assist with pick orders
• Flex to other department as needed
• Operate powered industrial truck equipment

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED from accredited institution.
• Minimum 1 year work experience in a distribution, warehouse and/or other handling environment
• Ability to lift 40+ pounds without assistance
• 1+ years of experience operating PIT equipment (stand up, reach truck, cherry picker)
• No documented performance or attendance coachings in the previous 6 months
• Ability to continuously stand, bend, reach, lift, push and pull
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Dallas, TX will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer based programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, WMS, VISTA and SAP.
• Previous Inventory Controls Experience
