In our electronic systems and engineering role we innovative and practical solutions in the areas of sensing, communications, processing, and more, and works across MITRE to define and deliver technical products to meet critical mission challenges.

　　As an Intern working in electrical or computer engineering, you will work with a team to apply your knowledge and gain experience with one or more of the following:

　　Antennas/electromagnetics, sensors/radar, photonics, and signal processing

　　Communications, SIGINT, spectrum, and position, navigation, and timing (PNT)

　　Electronics and embedded security

　　Rapid electronic and hardware prototyping, advanced manufacturing, design, mechanical and reliability analysis

　　Network architecture and engineering, Software Defined Networking (SDN), cloud solution system engineering or other infrastructure virtualization techniques

　　Satellite communications

　　Maritime System Development, acoustic & ocean modeling, SONAR system analysis, and transducer design

　　Electronic warfare

　　Basic Qualifications

　　Must be a student enrolled full-time pursuing an accredited degree seeking program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related degree program and continue to be enrolled full-time the semester following the internship.

　　Knowledge of electrical engineering theory and one or more of the following: digital signal processing, wireless communications, computer architecture, embedded software, embedded security, cryptography, analog design, RF/EM, sensors and antennas, photonics, power systems, and software architecture and design

　　Sustained excellence in academic performance

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　Experience applying electrical engineering theory and previous work or research in one or more of the following: digital signal processing, wireless communications, computer architecture, embedded software, embedded security, cryptography, analog design, RF/EM, sensors and antennas, photonics, power systems, and software architecture and design

　　"Hands-on" skills in at least one or more programming language

　　Has had previous internships, work experience or research experience in their field of study

　　Has applied learning outside of a classroom through involvement in student clubs, competitions, self-learning or similar events or activities in their field of study

　　Is involved in activities that require strong collaboration such as involvement in student clubs/organizations or other types of extracurricular activities

　　Demonstrates an interest in serving the public good by participating in volunteer activities

　　High level of excellence in academic performance demonstrated by such things as high GPA, additional major or minor or certificates/certifications, enrolled in a 5- year Bachelors/Masters
