　　What you'll do :

　　As an Intern with SAP Security Research, you'll contribute to developing an advanced security analysis tool using machine learning for source code analysis.

　　Working closely with our experienced team:

　　your role involves designing, implementing, and refining the tool's functionalities, which will result in a proof-of-concept demo for relevant industrial scenarios;

　　your responsibilities will include data collection, preprocessing, implementing and testing ML algorithms, and seamless integration of the tool into existing workflows.

　　This hands-on experience offers a unique chance to contribute to research, enhance software engineering skills, and collaborate in a dynamic team.

　　Exposure to cutting-edge technologies and active involvement in designing complex systems will empower you to put your innovative ideas into practice.

　　The ideal candidate has broad interests in the area of software design and development, is excited by the new advances of ML for source code analysis and is and is excited by the idea of learning new methods and technology in a hands-on project of non-trivial size, working across the technology stack of modern Web applications (including both backend and frontend technology).

　　What you bring :

　　The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

　　Ability to design, implement, test a software system in a clean, rational, modular manner

　　Knowledge of Python (experience with frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, Flask is a plus)

　　Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript (experience with frameworks such as ReactJS or other similar front-end technology is a plus)

　　Familiarity with Git

　　Basic knowledge of (or interest in learning) how to design, train, test and deploy a ML model

　　Good command of the English language, both spoken and written

　　Interest in open-source software (contributions to existing project is a plus)

　　The internship will be carried in the context of a team of researchers working on the topics of Intelligent Code Analysis and Open-source Software Security.

　　Start date : march 2024
