We are seeking an Internal Communications Manager to join our Diagnostics Platform team and focus on developing and delivering timely, relevant, and engaging content that drives business impact. Do you have a passion for storytelling and communication? If so, we would love to hear from you.
This role is responsible for supporting the development and deployment of internal communications that tell the collective story of Danaher’s Diagnostics Platform companies including Cepheid, Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, Radiometer, Leica Biosystems, Mammotome and HemoCue. This individual will drive communications initiatives that are aligned to the Platform strategy, working closely with communications leaders at each Operating Company and with senior executive leaders including Chief Scientific Officers and Operating Company Presidents. We’re looking for someone with strong writing skills who operates with a sense of urgency and brings proven experience in internal comms, PR and digital/multimedia communication. What you’ll do:
Work with the Sr. Director of Communications to execute a communications strategy using innovative channels and technology to reach internal audiences.
Create compelling written content to support the strategy, including executive communications, PPT presentations, video scripts, website copy, social media posts, talking points and other tactical deliverables.
Establish and maintain collaborative and effective relationships with stakeholders at various levels of the organization across different OpCos, functions and in different geographies.
Demonstrate fierce ownership of communications projects from beginning to end, demonstrating a sense of urgency to deliver high quality content on time every time.
Commit to reaching all internal audiences – including those who don’t sit at computers all day – by leveraging digital and physical on-site channels to amplify storytelling.
Measure outcomes and effectiveness of targeting across audiences, including those who do not rely on email and digital channels.
Analyze performance against KPIs and support efforts to communicate the impact of the comms strategy across the business.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, Marketing, or a related field and 5+ years of communications experience taking on progressive responsibility.
Excellent verbal, written, and visual communications skills in English, storytelling ability in pictures and words.
Solid communication and analytical skills, including experience with communicating with others from different countries and cultures; Interest in working in large multi-stakeholder organization
Comfortable speaking to senior executives and individual contributors, easily switching between high-level and tactical execution topics.
Able to clearly communicate complex information in an easy-to-understand manner.
Proven experience delivering effective campaigns internally in a large organization.
