Parker Hannifin – Bioscience & Water Filtration Division, located in Oxnard, CA, or Carson, CA, is seeking a Supply Chain/Logistics intern. As an intern, you will get hands on experience with transportation management (all modes and directions), project management, freight procurement, import/export compliance, and KPI development/maintenance.
Assist in developing and maintaining KPI’s, on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.
Learn all aspects of the division’s transportation network.
Attend required training courses including effective presentations and negotiation skills as necessary.
Interact with engineering, accounting, quality, operations and a host of other functional areas as necessary.
Contribute to transportation management projects, including freight procurement, import/export compliance, and project management.
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field at an accredited 4-year college or university in the United States.
Strong academic performance and a keen interest in supply chain and logistics operations.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to contribute to the development and maintenance of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to assist in the planning and execution of transportation management projects.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration with various functional areas including engineering, accounting, quality, and operations.
Enthusiastic and adaptable, with a willingness to learn all aspects of the division’s transportation network, including freight procurement, import/export compliance, and project management.
Pay range from $18.00 to $24.00 depending on experience.
