The Revenue Management department is a function within Finance, but is an indispensable partner to the entire business, well positioned to lead thinking on how to drive the business forward. Originating in the hotel & airline industry, Revenue Management is gaining popularity in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry and is frequently cited as a key pillar to achieving long-term growth. * What will you do?* * Be a core member of project teams throughout your internship, solving problems that have true impact to the Hershey business in Canada * Learn about the Hershey organization and the dynamics of a leading a high performing CPG company * Be coached by an experienced analytics manager, who is committed to your success * Be accountable for shaping the organization’s strategic approach to key sales channels by working on: o * Systems:* Will become the resident expert in new datasets and responsible for organizing them to drive actionable decision making o * Performance Analysis:* Will conduct various analyses on channels and packtypes to identify gaps and opportunity areas that will meet consumers’ needs and occasions. Findings will be shared cross-functionally and to members of the Hershey Canada leadership team. o * Strategic Planning:* Will support development of strategic initiatives (i.e. pricing, promotions, mix management, pack architecture, etc.) & new ways of working o * Market Competitiveness Assessment: Develop deep understanding of baking/confection and adjacent consumer product categories as well as the top retailers and manufacturers with them * _Minimum Requirement_ * You are enrolled in a business, math, engineering, or computer science program at post-secondary institution * You think like a business owner. You connect the dots and recognize how business decisions impact the organization. * You walk the walk when it comes to agility. You collaborate cross-functionally and work fast-paced. * You spot and seize opportunities. You don’t just stop there you drive the solution to the end - even if it’s outside your responsibilities. You ensure deadlines are met in the process. * You are Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) - Excel skills is an asset! * You can look at an analytical dashboard and gain insights without breaking into a cold sweat.
