　　Job Summary and Qualifications

　　Our Intensive Care unit is seeking a self-motivated and collaborative RN to join our amazing team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality care efficient care. As part of the ICU team, you will be provide exceptional care for a wide variety of patients including Pulmonary Cardiac, Heart Failure, COPD, Stroke, Ventilator Management, Continuous Dialysis, Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis. You will be managing the nursing care of critically ill patients in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

　　As a member of the Intensive Care team, you will monitor, record and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.

　　Some other key job duties include providing respiratory and ventilator management, recording patient conditions using Meditech computerized documentation system and overseeing patient discharge planning needs

　　You will also be providing support for new staff through mentoring and orientation.

　　What qualifications you will need:

　　Nursing Graduate with RN Diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing

　　BSN preferred.

　　VA RN license or valid RN Compact State License

　　Previous experience in cardiac care or ICU preferred.

　　Previous EKG interpretation experience preferred. Must pass a basic rhythm test and BKAT examination.

　　Critical Certification preferred.

　　Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date

　　Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
