The primary purpose of this position is to provide law enforcement communications support to Special Agents of the Bureau. As an Intelligence Program Specialist, your typical work assignments may include: The GS-9 grade level is a developmental position and is more closely monitored by a senior employee or supervisor: Extracts statistical data from varied sources for investigative/intelligence reports; notes trends and patterns, recognizing the need to call attention to higher level officials to report important new information, which requires further examination. Develops, refines and evaluates automated data and serves as the focal point to ensure the effective communication of data necessary to provide enforcement information. Provides law enforcement communications support to special agents of the Bureau and responsible for handling routine radio/telephone communications as well as providing communication tactical support in potentially life-threatening situations. Developing data retrieval documents and linking patterns of criminal acts to a variety of criminal activities.
