Description

We are presently seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Insurance Verification Clerk for our thriving Healthcare sector. The ideal candidate is tasked with verifying insurance coverage for new patients, resolving insurance issues, and managing patient account records.

Responsibilities:

· Verify new patients insurance coverage using online systems and phone calls.

· Communicate with patients to explain insurance benefits and payment procedures.

· Perform review of patient account records, ensuring accuracy in billing and insurance information.

· Work closely with other departments within the organization to provide comprehensive patient experience.

· Maintain and secure confidentiality of all patient health, finance, and demographic information.

· Stay updated with changes in either medical or insurance regulations and guidelines.

· Trouble-shoot and resolve insurance issues in a timely manner.

· Coordinate with multiple insurance companies to ensure claims and disputes are handled appropriately.

Requirements

· Associates Degree or equivalent work experience. Experience in the Healthcare sector is preferred.

· Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

· Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

· Knowledge of medical billing process and insurance claims experience.

· Excellent problem-solving and investigative skills.
