SUMMARY
The Instructional Systems Designer II is responsible for creating andimplementing effective learning programs and materials to enhance theknowledge, skills, and performance of individuals within anorganization. Works closely with Subject Matter Experts to identifytraining needs, develop instructional objectives, design curriculum andselect appropriate delivery methods.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Otherduties may be assigned.
Designs and develops instructional approaches and/or strategies to meettraining requirements.
Assists with the analysis of training and media requirements.
Researches and identifies data sources for instructional materialdevelopment and additional information needed for supportinginstructional materials.
Interacts with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to acquire supportingmaterials.
Develops appropriate training objectives and test methods and designsinstructionally valid and engaging training materials for a variety ofdelivery methods, including instructor-led and computer-based,web-based, and mobile training. Ensures integrity of task analysis,training requirements, training hierarchies, instructional materials,and evaluation plans.
Designs and develops computer-based training, web-based training,electronic performance support systems and other technology-basedlearning solutions.
Develops flow diagrams and story boards. Designs instructionally soundlessons in a variety of delivery media.
Develops solutions to complex problems through the use of ingenuity andinnovation.
Ability to work within an agile development environment and ability toscale design efforts to meet production timelines and budget withoutcompromising instructional integrity.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, jobdescription and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximizepersonal output.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available andreceptive to all training made available by the company.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree Instructional Design or related field and a minimumof three (3) years of related experience or combination of education andexperience.
Experience with developing courseware for Navy and or other militaryorganizations is highly desired.
JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Extensive knowledge of and experience with creating and verifyingAccessible content (508 Compliance) Knowledge of web graphics standardsand practices.
Understanding of multiple computer platforms and internet browsers andtheir differing abilities to display -eLearning, HTML5 and graphiccontent.
Ability to work well with programmers, developers, content managers, andother key personnel in an interactive development situation.
Skilled proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word,PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.) with ability to quickly graspspecialized software programs.
Ability to command and conduct training and evaluation sessions in aclassroom setting with enthusiasm and clarity.
Basic and versatile knowledge of proven training methods and techniquesrelated to subject matter.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills with ability toprepare quality course materials and presentations.
Exceptional skills in researching, writing, reviewing, and editingtechnical training materials and methods.
Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and execute work.
Excellent skills in formatting, preparing, and editingwritten/electronic documents with ability to use correct grammar,spelling, and usage of the English language.
Ability to read and interpret common information systems documents andtranslate into layman terminology for use in course materials.
Excellent interpersonal relations skills with ability to effectivelyinteract with others in the performance of assigned duties.
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
