The Kelly Group is seeking an Industrial Metal Fabricator for its Marion, Arkansas, facility. Candidates should have a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in the layout and fabrication of sheet metal and structural steel.

This position requires the ability to perform these essential duties:

Safely and accurately lay out and fabricate straight lengths of ductwork, cones, elbows, tapers and miscellaneous parts utilizing a bending roll

Safely and accurately lay out and fabricate square and rectangular spouting, square to rounds, tapers, offset fittings and various parts utilizing a press brake

Safely and accurately measure and cut various sheet metals utilizing a sheet metal shear

Safe operation of an ironworker machine to punch, shear and cut

Safe operation of a drill press, punch press, hand grinder and other tools of the trade

Reading and understanding of blueprints/drawings, and developing a cut list and/or material list accordingly

Other preferred qualifications sought include:

Experience fabricating structural steel, stairs, platforms and handrail

Ability to layout and cut sheet metal on a high-definition plasma table

Ability to tack weld and/or final weld all fabrications utilizing SMAW, MIG and GTAW of mild steel and stainless steel

Thorough understanding of techniques to set up welding machines and gases

Ability to square up and weld various geometries and components

Ability to perform vertical and horizontal welding

Understanding of various weld form symbols on blueprints

Ability to safely rig material and utilize overhead cranes

Basic computer skills, including Excel and Word

Familiarity with AutoCAD
