Coordinate work of the electrical design team on oil and gas facilities,industrial manufacturing, food and beverage, and mining projects throughthe design development and construction phases of a project.Establish client relations and participate in marketing, design andproduction meetings with regard to electrical systems.Assume the electrical lead on many projects.Coordinate workload to complete projects and documents on schedule.Provide client and/or project management on select clients and projects asneeded.Perform electrical design calculations including voltage drop, conduitfill, load calculations, etc.Develop electrical plan sheets, wiring schematics, detail drawings,specifications, and construction cost estimate development for constructionproDevelop cable & conduit schedules, panel schedules, instrument lists,and electrical & controls BOMs.Review electrical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplinesWrite/edit electrical specifications and select equipment, electricalsystems and devicesCoordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRsand change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-uponchanges into the project documentsConduct QA/QC on the work of other Electrical Engineers, ElectricalCoordinators or TechniciansResearch design options for projects and provide recommendations for theproject.Review various electrical codes & standards to ensure electrical design iscompliant.Troubleshoot and respond to client/contractor RFI's during theconstruction phase of a projectPerform other duties as neededQualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineeringwith an Electrical emphasisExperience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)Professional Engineer (PE) licenseStrong computer skills, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and electrical designsoftwareAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of ouremployee-owned culture is a mustPreferred QualificationsStrong computer skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).Strong familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70)Willingness to travel as needed.
