We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Delta V Industrial Control Systems Engineer to join our dynamic & diverse team at Invetech! In this role, you will work together with a great team to design / implement control system hardware and software architectures for custom automation projects, typically for cell therapies. Responsibilities:
Consult with clients & team members to establish requirements and recommend control system hardware & software architectures for custom automation equipment typically in GMP environments that follow the ISA88 batch standard and comply with 21 CFR Part 11.
Assist the sales conversion process with control system concepts, architectures, effort and schedule estimates.
Assist in the development of project plans & quality documentation including requirements, specifications, & verification documentation.
Successful delivery of outputs (control systems aspects) for projects ranging from concepts & prototypes to GMP equipment, typically including novel technologies.
Manage control systems supplier relationships & direct work for support staff and other contractors.
Program industrial control systems components, test and debug modules, test beds and final equipment (hands on to get equipment functioning).
You will bring:
Diploma/Bachelor of Engineering in the field of Electrical, Software or Mechatronics
Proven experience in the pharmaceutical / life-science industry, leading the design, development and commissioning of DeltaV (including Batch) automation systems.
Experience working within a quality management system, following processes such as GAMP5, and understanding of regulatory requirements such as 21 CFR Part 11.
Broad industrial control systems experience enabling identifying appropriate solutions
Understanding of machine level response times & functionality (motion/position control knowledge is advantageous)
Understanding of other plant/facility IT/OT system components such as MES & Data Historians
Demonstrated problem solving ability
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
