Job Description:

As a Senior ABAC Engineer, on both the unclassified and classified environments, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining attribute-based access control systems to secure our critical applications and data. This role requires a deep understanding of security protocols, access control mechanisms, and software development.

Your responsibilities encompass the entire lifecycle management of ABAC products and services. This involves engineering tasks to develop the solution, generating business documents and reports to convey technical plans, diagrams, white papers, and conducting technical meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Ensuring security compliance, such as addressing STIGs relevant to the solution, and managing daily activities within your assigned areas, utilizing SME resources, are also part of your role.

You will define operational concepts related to the ABAC solution, including necessary procedures and tools for seamless integration and operation. Your expertise will guide both internal teams and external stakeholders, offering insights and analysis to support program objectives in this domain. You may also be required to collaboratively conduct an analysis of alternatives with the solutions architect on a variety of solutions to determine the best solutions to support overall business goals and objectives.

This is a hybrid postion that will consist of remote work and regular onsite support at the customer site in Fort Meade, MD.

HOW AN ICAM SENIOR ABAC ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Actively participate in Scrum meetings.

Active engagement with the program customer, providing expert guidance and solutions

Prepare and present test plans, technical presentations, and analyst briefings

Design and implement ABAC solutions to meet business requirements and enhance security posture.

Develop and maintain policies for attribute-based access control systems.

Collaborate with IT and security teams to integrate ABAC solutions into existing infrastructure.

Monitor and audit access control systems to ensure compliance with internal and external security policies and regulations.

Conduct regular security assessments and reviews to identify vulnerabilities and improve the effectiveness of ABAC systems.

Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.

Identify customer requirements, analyze alternatives, and conduct product recommendations related to software, platform, and network configurations

  Provides expert guidance and leadership to less-experienced colleagues

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

CLEARANCE : Minimum active DoD Security Clearance of SECRET, or higher

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

·      Extensive experience with implementing PKI and PIV standards

·      Extensive experience in creating architecture solutions for cloud environments

·      Demonstrated experience with ABAC technologies such as Axiomatics, NextLabs, or Immuta.

·      Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.

CERTIFICATION(S):

·       Active CompTIA Security+ CE certification, or higher

·       Active Computing Environmental certification (CE) in job-related duties such as Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)

EDUCATION:

·      Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work experience) will consider other combinations of education, certifications and years of experience

YEAR'S EXPERIENCE:

·      15+ years of IT experience in engineering and development

·      3+ years of experience in implementing and managing access control systems, preferably with a focus on ABAC.

The likely salary range for this position is $154,960 - $207,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
