The primary duties of this Structural EIT position areto conduct analyses, perform hydraulic structure and bridge inspections,develop design options or recommendations, assist in the preparation of costestimates and specifications, and write reports for structural projects(dams, bridges, canals, penstocks, navigation locks, floodprotection structures, fish ladders, ancillary structures etc.).opportunity to perform inspections or analysis on many of the largest dams andbridges in the United States. Perform engineering assignments that may requirecritical thinking and creativity to address unique structural elements thathave limited or no specific code based guidance. Resourceful and comfortablewith both office and field assignments. Analysis could include finite elementand/or structural asset management. Work independently on small projects orassists other engineers on larger projects. May give direction to clericaland technical personnel. Start date negotiable.
#LI-LA1QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringMaster's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a willingness topursue while at HDR preferred (tuition reimbursement offered)EIT certification strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT willhave the title of "Coordinator" and will be expected to obtain their EITfor career progressionComputer knowledge plus's (Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MathCAD,LS-DYNA, Altair Hypermesh, SAP2000).Previous structural inspection, asset management (data analytics,machine learning, coding) or structural design experience is a plus.SPRAT or FHWA Bridge Inspection Certifications also a plus.Must possess strong interpersonal, speaking and writing skills.
