About Hybrid Cloud DoD Design Architect

  The Hybrid Cloud Design Architect is a pivotal role at Red River, specializing in architecting and deploying hybrid cloud solutions specifically tailored for the United States Department of Defense (DoD). This role demands a deep understanding of both cloud technologies and the unique security, operational, and compliance requirements of the DoD. As a Design Architect, you will be at the forefront of pre-sales engineering, focusing on creating secure, efficient, and resilient hybrid cloud environments.

  Primary Position Tasks:

  Solution Development: Identify and assess the DoD’s specific operational challenges and security needs, proposing robust hybrid cloud solutions. This includes understanding the intricacies of DoD data management, cybersecurity standards (like DISA STIGs, RMF), and mission-critical operations.

  Client Engagement: Serve as the primary technical resource in complex sales discussions, demonstrating deep expertise in hybrid cloud architectures and DoD-specific requirements.

  Certification and Compliance: Attain and uphold certifications pertinent to strategic OEM partners, primarily Dell, VMware, and Nutanix. Additionally, develop a comprehensive understanding of integration with Public Hyperscalers like AWS, Azure, and GCP. Ensure that all proposed solutions strictly adhere to DoD regulations and standards.

  Collaborative Solutioning: Work closely with Design Architects in various technology domains to integrate their expertise into comprehensive solutions for the DoD. This collaboration is crucial for addressing multifaceted requirements that span different technologies and architectures.

  Sales and Technical Leadership: Lead technical discussions with the sales team, aligning hybrid cloud technologies with the DoD’s evolving requirements. Provide insights into how these technologies can optimize and transform DoD operations.

  Service Development Contribution: Actively contribute to the development of new services and offers. Provide technical insights during the ideation and creation phases, ensuring relevance and compliance with DoD needs.

  Other business duties as assigned.

  Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:

  Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of relevant experience.

  5 years of presales engineer experience.

  Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  Proven track record of successful client engagement and solution development for DoD projects.

  Recent experience actively supporting a DoD Cloud Migration program.

  US Citizenship and a current or ability to obtain Secret Clearance.

  Active and verified professional level OEM certifications (ex. Cisco CCNP, VMware CIA, etc.)

  Special Requirements:

  Work location varies. Travel varies and can be up to 50% depending on work location. Primary service area Mid Atlantic.
