Your Role: What you'll be doing
The Human Spaceflight Program Manager is responsible for overall leadershipand execution of the ULA Human Spaceflight Program Integration team,supporting Commercial Crew, Artemis, and future human spaceflight endeavors.Manage the Commercial Crew Program - cost, schedule, technical, customerrelationships and ULA human spaceflight culture.Lead the completion and maintenance of human rating certification for Atlas Vground and airborne systems.Establish close customer relationships to effectively perform contractrequirements. Serve as ULA advocate when interfacing with Customer'sprogram office.Serve as lead enterprise advocate for Human Spaceflight Safety ensuringoverall enterprise execution maintains the certification baseline and CrewSafety principles.Develop the strategic roadmap and lead Vulcan Human Rating efforts.Mentor and develop the human spaceflight integration team, ensuring benchstrength and appropriate knowledge retention/transfer for the life of ULAhuman spaceflight programs.Collaborate with Engineering, Production Operations and Launch Operationsorganizations to provide sound business solutions in support of humanspaceflight.Drive execution to schedules, assess team prioritization, assist withtechnical metrics, and support program management reviews.Other duties, as needed, include developing estimates-at-complete(EAC), proposal preparation and negotiations, CAM duties and providingbriefings to ULA senior leadership.
Your Background: What education and experience you'll needAt least 8 years applicable experience in the associated technical oradministrative area, plus a minimum of 2 years managing people, projectmanagement or team lead experience or a combination of the three.
Your Background: What skills you'll need
Experience with launch vehicle or spacecraft systems.Risk Management principles, solid decision-making skills, and ability todeal with ambiguity.Demonstrated technical leadership experience leveraging teamwork anddevelopment opportunities (lead and mentor a team).Strong verbal and written negotiation skills. Must be able successfully handleconfrontation and negotiation with customers.Demonstrated interpersonal skills to develop relationships at multiple levelsin the customer community.Experience developing technical and cost proposals.Experience with project management principles and an ability to driveexecution.Project/program level schedule and budget development, tracking andreporting experience.Ability to address complex cross-organizational challenges and conflicts.Experience briefing senior leaders, and an ability to present to a customeraudience for NASA Program Control Board level briefings, or similar.Organization skills necessary to maintain focus and drive to consensus withindiverse cross functional teams.Excellent written and oral communication skills nec ssary to communicatecomplex problems, agreements and achieve consensus across teams.
