Description Robert Half currently has an opening for a highly-skilled Human Resources Assistant within their team. The Human Resources Assistant will handle a variety of personnel related administrative tasks and will provide clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. This opening is based in the Richmond, Virginia area and is a long-term contract / temporary opportunity.

　　Your responsibilities in this role

　　Perform various administrative duties

　　Research the internet to discover potential customers

　　Update employee database information

　　Plan new employee orientation meetings Requirements - Qualified in office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)

　　Onboarding experience

　　Adeptness in Background Checks

　　Microsoft Excel experience

　　Expertise in HRIS

　　Solid understanding of ADP - Payroll

　　Strong familiarity with HRIS

　　Excellent oral and written communications skills

　　Approachable and appropriate behavior when interacting with personnel at all levels in a quickly changing environment

　　Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and exercise good judgment and discretion in handling and disseminating information

　　Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on a number of different projects and tasks

　　HR related experience desired
