Human Resources Generalist

We are on an exciting trajectory of growth for 2024 that has us growing our HR team We are currently seeking a talented Human Resources Generalist. This role involves handling verifications of employment and collaborating on Unemployment Insurance claims. As a versatile team player, you will act as a backup for various HR functions, manage the shared HR Support inbox, and stay abreast of changes in employment laws and industry trends.
Job DescriptionEmployee RelationsConduct investigations as needed based on responses from field employees on exit interviews and weekly employee check-ins. Escalate investigations as appropriate based on findings and support follow through/follow up with Account Managers.Verifications of EmploymentConduct verifications of employment for current and former employees as requested by internal and external parties.Verify employment details, such as dates of employment, job titles, and salary history.Respond to verification requests promptly and accurately, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection regulations.Unemployment ClaimsPartner with HR Associate on Unemployment Insurance claims.Attend hearings as required.Provide weekly reports to Production team for re-deployment and re-engagement opportunities.Additional HR FunctionsCrosstrain on all HR functions for full coverage. Manage WOTC documentation requests via Portal.Compile reporting as required per department needs.Update training and separation documentation through ATS/HRIS weekly.Assist in the management of the shared HR Support inbox, responding to employee inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner. Provide accurate information, guidance, and resolutions to employee queries related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures.Escalate complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR team members and follow up to ensure resolution.Keep up with changes in employment laws, regulations, and industry trends that could impact HR compliance and proactively inform HR leadership and management of potential changes and implications.Background We are SeekingAssociate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience.Basic knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.Proficient in HRIS (Human Resources Information System), and other relevant software applications.A team player with a collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively in time-sensitive functions.About Equiliem
