Job Description:
As the HR Manager at Burkholder Brothers, your role will encompass comprehensive human resources management. You will assume a pivotal position in cultivating a positive workplace culture, ensuring adherence to labor laws and regulations, and facilitating the professional growth of our team members. Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:Manage the full recruitment process, from job postings to interviewing and hiring.Conduct new employee orientations and ensure smooth onboarding.Employee Relations:Foster positive employee relations by addressing concerns, conflicts, and grievances in a fair and consistent manner.Provide coaching and support to managers on employee performance issues.Benefits Administration:Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.Assist employees with benefit inquiries and enrollment.Training and Development:Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.Support career development and succession planning initiatives.Compliance:Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.Bilingual Communication:Serve as a bilingual HR resource, assisting Spanish-speaking employees with HR-related matters.Translate HR documents and communications as needed.Performance Management:Implement and manage performance appraisal processes.Assist managers in setting performance goals and providing feedback.Safety and Wellness:Collaborate with safety teams to promote a safe work environment.Support wellness initiatives and programs.Payroll and Benefits:Administer bi-weekly payroll processing.Manage the enrollment of benefits for both existing employees and new hires.H2B Visa and Green Card Process:
Manage and facilitate the H2B visa and Green Card application processes for eligible candidates and employees.Ensure compliance with immigration laws and requirements.Provide guidance and support to individuals in these processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience).Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.Previous HR experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a managerial role.Preferred experience in the construction or landscape industry.Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Must be Bilingual.HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.How to Apply:
