Description The HR Director position is an integral part of the leadership team reporting directly to the Ownership. The position leads the delivery of workforce strategies and drives the effective implementation of key HR programs, policies, and practices. The HR Director works in close contact with other leaders as a business partner to drive recruitment, employee relations, coaching, performance management, employee engagement, as well as all other functional HR areas. The ideal candidate will bring sound management experience and solid HR practices, managing all functional areas of human resources.
Duties and responsibilities
Successful measurements in this role include:
Immediately upon joining the Company:a. Spend time with members of management (Owners, Controller, Accounting Manager, Directors of Operations, District Managers (DMs), and Store Managers (SMs) to:
i. Understand the culture of the Company
ii. Build relationships with key stakeholders
iii. Understand where each of the leadership teams are in need of additional HR support
b. Full understanding of HR team functions, accounting dept as it relates to HR, and payroll components to:
i. Learn current processes
ii. Build relationships within the Company and across multiple departments
iii. Analyze and provide strategic leadership towards process improvements
c. Contact all HR vendors and partners to further establish relationships, including benefit brokers, insurance carriers, payroll contacts, etc.
In the first 30 days, assess all HR functions and propose a prioritized plan for addressing any issues affecting compliance, productivity, best practices, and profitability. Including the following:a. Automation of all HR processes: recruiting, onboarding, employee files, and investigations
b. Finalize complete conversion of paper files to electronic records
c. Employee retention at both the store and corporate level through pay, benefit, and on- the-spot assessments
d. Assess and develop the HR & Payroll team capabilities, ensure compliance, and audit processes
In the first 9 months, ensure milestone completion of automation projects, initiatives and change management is taken. a. Reinforce changes within Company culture and practices. Review progress and analyze results.
b. Report ROI and metrics. Communicate clearly to Executive team on turnover and all data as requested.
By the end of year one, create and implement programs to engage employees. Create and provide management training, as well as programs to support succession planning, employee development, and talent upgrading. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Requirements ADP Workforce Now
