*As this is a Full-Time position, the ideal candidate will be consistently available from 3 to 11:30 PM, seven days a week.
Principle Responsibilities & Position Purpose:
Responsibilities include training and supervision of room/suite and house attendants to ensure all rooms/suites and public areas are cleaned and comply with hotel standards. Visually inspect rooms/suites.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide customer service to guests.
Handle all disciplinary counseling as needed according to FLIK policy.
Be able to conduct daily line-ups, open housekeeping inventory and assign rooms, etc.
Ensure staff’s knowledge of hotel services, features, and amenities.
Monitor and ensure that the Housekeeping staff performs their job functions to the hotel’s expected level of service.
Assist the Housekeeping Staff whenever necessary in performing all job functions.
Conduct ongoing training with existing staff and ensure that new staff is certified as required.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness and working conditions of equipment and supplies.
Ensure that all pertinent information is documented in the logbook daily.
Conduct performance appraisals of designated staff as required.
Complete random inspections of the hotel and its guestrooms.
Perform any task given to them by the Director and/or the Assistant Director of Housekeeping.
Successful completion of the training/certification process.
Assist in linen & supply inventory
Inspect rooms, etc.
Monitor lost & found.
Ensure rooms, carts & caddies are stocked.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by management based upon the particular requirements of the company.
Provide customer service to guests (internally/externally), including information about hotel services, activities and local attractions.
Communicate and coordinate with Engineering/Property Operations Repair and Maintenance Program as related to guestrooms and public areas.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the hob, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to arrive to work on time and when scheduled.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of all guest and general hotel information.
Ability to motivate staff and maintain a cohesive team.
Read, write and speak English fluently. Knowledge of other languages, especially Spanish is a plus.
Knowledge of inventories, scheduling and productivity
High school math level required
Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other team members verbally and in written form
Ability to inspect up to 100 rooms per day
Ability to clean rooms, when needed.
Physically able to move and/or operate large objects, such as: maid carts, suite furniture, large bags of linen, vacuum cleaners and boxes of inventory
Ability to follow and enforce all hotel standards, including safety procedures/standards and able to recognize and act in emergency situations.
Knowledge of and ability to operate computer.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS EDUCATION
High School graduate or equivalent
EXPERIENCE LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
1-2 years housekeeping supervisory experience in hotel preferred
Four (4) or more years hotel housekeeping experience
No special licenses or certificates required.
