Horse Grooms - 12 full-time, temporary, seasonal (H-2B) jobs available 4/1/2024 -11/25/2024.

　　Employer: Bella Inizio Farm LLC, 4240 NW 130th Avenue, Ocala, FL 34482.

　　Duties: As a Horse Groom, the worker will be responsible and assist with the daily care of horse and preparation of horses for training as well as participation in horse races. The workers will help prepare horses for races. They have the responsibility to feed and water horses, clean, tack, bath, brush, and clip horses, apply horse boots and prepare horses to be saddled for races. They will clean horse's feet, apply/remove leg wraps/boots and saddle for training/races. Bath/cool down horse after training/races. Assist veterinarian while performing physical examinations, by keeping the horse calm and under control. They will also assist the farriers as they inspect, remove, apply, adjust, and work with horse's hoof and shoes by keeping the horse calm and under control. Clean/re-bed stalls. Hose down horse with cold/warm water. Wrap horse in brace or poultice bandages as necessary. Ability to lift 150lbs with assistance.

　　Worksite: 267 Union Ave, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. Employer will provide workers with daily transportation to worksite from workers' housing in the premises.

　　Random drug testing post-hire at employer's expense for all workers, both domestic and H-2B workers.

　　Optional dormitory-style housing available at race track, but employer does not provide housing. Utilities may be provided free of charge in the backstretch.

　　No education required, 3 months experience required.

　　Work days varies: Tuesday-Sunday, split shift 5:00am-10am and 2:30pm-4:30pm. Hours may vary based on weather and racing schedule. 40 hours/week at $15.52/hour. OT at $23.28/hour. Saturday work required, when necessary. Optional hours available on Monday, but not required. Bonuses/raises may be paid at employer discretion based on performance, skill, tenure.

　　A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Friday. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.

　　Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.

　　H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).

　　Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $15.46/day without receipts or up to $59.00/day with receipts.
