This is a full-time position, which requires a minimum of 30 visits(and/or equivalent work activities) per week.

LOCATION: Emporia, Kan.
COMPENSATION: \$30.00 to \$35.00 per visit, depending on experience.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Love My Nurse seeks a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to joinour team. The Registered Nurse plays a critical role in providingquality care to patients within their homes. The PTA will create andexecute personalized treatment plans (and any subsequentrecertifications), and oversee any Licensed Practical Nurses providingcare for patients in the region. The successful candidate will possessexcellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with a passionfor improving the lives of individuals through comprehensive home healthcare.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential functions of this position include--but are not limitedto:
Evaluate patients referred to home health and determine the type(s) ofservices to be provided.
Interview the patient and family to determine appropriateness forservices.
Coordinate the development of patient care plans that specify thefrequency and duration of the service(s) provided.
Complete all admission documentation in electronic medical recordsoftware (MatrixCare).
Regularly reevaluate the patients care needs.
Perform services in accordance with the plan of care.
Draw labs and administer injectable and IV medications.
Prepare clinical and progress notes for each patient visit and summariesof care conferences on his/her patients in a timely manner as per Agencypolicy.
Coordinate services.
Counsel the patient and family/significant others in meeting nursing andrelated needs.
Participate in and present in-service programs.
Process orders and notify physician(s) of patient needs and changes incondition.
Supervise and teach other nursing personnel.
Is available for on-call duty nights, weekends and holidays, asassigned.
Marketing the agency in facilities, medical practices, specialty clinicsand the community at large.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Active Nursing License in the State of Kansas.
Successfully completed an accredited nursing program.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Familiarity with technology to understand the basic functionality ofcomputers, smart phones, and navigation within common operating systems.
Successfully pass background and reference check requirement.
Current, valid drivers license.
Provide binders showing current automobile insurance meeting statesminimum requirements.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position oversees LPNs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates primarily in patient homes wherethere are numerous uncontrolled variables.

EXPECTED CORE HOURS/DAYS OF WORK: Expected core hours of work are 8 a.m.to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Evening and weekend work may berequired as job duties demand.
TRAVEL:
Up to two-to-three travel days in the Emporia service area (a 30-mileradius from our office in Emporia) with the remainder of the five-daywork week spent in awrence.
Occasional overnight travel may be expected but is highly infrequent.

MILEAGE/TRAVEL ALOTTMENT:
Love My Nurse pays \$0.585 per mile for travel inside a service area.\"Commute\" (defined as the travel to the first appointment and from thelast appointment) is not included in paid mileage.
