　　Vaccination for COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) is mandatory for all MSK staff. Staff are considered fully vaccinated upon completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19 (i.e., one dose of a single dose vaccine or a final dose of a multi-dose vaccine series). Exceptions from the COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) vaccine requirements are permitted for those who request and receive an approved medical, religious, or fully remote exemption.  Requests for exemption can take up to two weeks to review. Vaccination or an approved exemption is required to start work.

　　We are:

　　The Multiplex Laboratory conducts immuno-oncology-directed research with novel staining and imaging technologies that can identify targetable antigens. They develop next-generation tissue imaging platforms and analysis pipelines.

　　MSK is also dedicated to providing diverse educational opportunities to further develop the skills and ambitions of our medical technologists, laboratory managers, and laboratory directors.

　　The Multiplex Laboratory is seeking a Histotechnologist to process fresh and fixed tissue specimens for surgical, autopsy, and investigative histopathology preparations under supervision and identify, test and implement emergent technologies necessary to maintain MSK science at the forefront of cancer biology.

　　You Will:

　　Provides technical and scientific support to Lab/Core staff and researchers in design, implementation and analysis of experiments. In collaboration with PI/Core Manager identifies, tests and implements emergent technologies necessary to maintain MSK science at the forefront of cancer biology.Liaises with researchers and establish collaborative projects centered around emergent technologies Design experiments to test groundbreaking instrumentation and chemistry. Adoption/rejection of the technology tested will depend on the analysis and interpretation of the test data sets.Identifies needs for future servicesEstablishes standard operation procedures and protocols for new techniques/servicesAssists with quality assurance/ quality control (QA/QC)Participates in institutional events to introduce new technologies and applications to MSK investigatorsProcess fresh and fixed tissue specimens for surgical, autopsy, and investigative histopathology preparations under supervision.Perform assigned quality control procedures.Record daily, weekly, and monthly, all quality control and preventive maintenance activities.Include any corrective action taken, along with date and initials.You Need:

　　Associate degree with knowledge of biology, chemistry, anatomy, and physiology OR accepted per NYS requirements is requiredNew York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Technician/Certified Histology Technician requiredExperience with immunohistochemistry processing and staining preferredExperience in histopathology techniques preferred ASCP Certification strongly preferredHours:
