Drive various types of trucks, such as tractor trailer combinations to transport various loads, which may include hazardous materials.

　　Essential Responsibilities:

　　Must have the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment and forklifts and to load and unload cargo.

　　Check vehicles and equipment for correct operation and must be knowledgeable of cargo securement rules to ensure that every load is properly secured before transport.

　　Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers and refuel vehicles as required. Perform general housekeeping and grounds maintenance of vehicle parking areas.

　　Travel as required by company.

　　Other related duties as assigned by the Lead Technician.

　　Focus on SAFETY.

　　Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

　　Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

　　High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years’ experience transporting heavy loads on multiple types of trailers along with a safe driving record and history.

　　Load and unload trailers with straps, chains, and hooks.

　　Perform vehicle inspections, safely climb in and out of tractor cab, and maintain vehicle logs.

　　Prompt daily attendance and forklift experience preferred.

　　Valid Class “A” CDL with Hazmat endorsement.

　　Must qualify for and maintain a US Government Secret security clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a US Government security clearance.

　　Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

　　Sit for extended periods of time in all types of weather while safely transporting hazardous/non-hazardous loads. Must have a willingness to work and follow directions, to

　　stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, climb ladders, lift, carry and place heavy objects (up to 100 pounds).
