Description:
The Health Unit Coordinator sits and works at the front desk of the main operating room. This person assists, plans and coordinates a variety of service functions that are related to the surgery department and works closely with leadership and physicians to coordinate patient care .

To work and facilitate with nursing staff and surgeons at the front desk of the main Operating Room, rotating shifts and weekends
Reporting to the Director of Surgery with over 20 years of institutional knowledge

Responsibilities:
Supports departmental operations by providing effective and timely communications, maintaining a clean, safe, orderly work environment, maintaining data and related records, performing clerical and other support services as directed, and providing assistance in select and limited clinical activities.
What you will need
Required:
High School diploma or equivalent
Previous experience as a unit secretary, administrative partner, Health Unit Coordinator or CNA
Computer skills using Microsoft Office products
