Summary The Health InsuranceVerification Specialist will support Atos Medical\'s mission to providea better quality of life for laryngectomy customers by assisting withthe attainment of our products through the insurance verificationprocess and reimbursement cycle. A successful Health InsuranceVerification Specialist in our company uses client information andinsurance management knowledge to perform insurance verifications,authorizations, pre-certifications, and negotiations. The HealthInsurance Verification Specialist will analyze and offer advice to ourcustomers regarding insurance matters to ensure a smooth order processworkflow. They will also interact and advise our internal team memberson schedules, decisions, and potential issues from the Insurance payers.Essential Functions Act as an advocate for our customers in relation toinsurance benefit verification. Obtain and secure authorization, orpre-certifications required for patients to acquire Atos Medicalproducts. Verifies the accuracy and completeness of patient accountinformation. Ensures information obtained is complete and accurate,applying acquired knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third party payerrequirements/on-line eligibility systems. Contacts insurance carriers toobtain benefit coverage, policy limitations, authorization/notification,and pre-certifications for customers.
