HATCHERY MANAGER in TRAINING

Requirements for the position

4 year degree in applicable field or qualifying field experience in live production

Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power point

Basic accounting skills

Exceptional communication skills

Ability to travel at least 75% of the time while in the program

Willingness to accept open positions regardless of location unless other arrangements are specified at the time of program entry.

Ability to take on difficult task and learn from them

Ability to work with the Live Production and Tech Services Team on a daily basis

Primary Job Responsibilities and KPI’s :

Complete 4 week rotation in a Jamesway hatchery

Complete 4 week rotation in a Chickmaster hatchery

Complete one week rotation in a complex with single stage incubation

Complete Jamesway incubator training

Complete Chickmaster incubator training

Complete 2 week rotation with 4 industry leaders in hatchery tech services

Complete 2 week rotation with a veterinarian concentrating on break outs and sanitation

Complete 2 week rotation in breeders

Complete 2 embryology seminars

Complete Aviagen hatchery manager training

Complete Cobb hatchery manager training

Complete approved sanitation training

The person selected must be willing to relocate and/or located at a Pilgrim's plant that is to be determined by all parties.
