Description

Robert Half is hiring! We are in search of a Hardware Analyst to join our team in the IT Services industry based in Piedmont, South Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for handling a variety of tasks, including troubleshooting systems and servers, identifying replacement parts, understanding computer networking infrastructure, and providing training to other operators.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot intermediate level systems and servers related to host systems, middleware, and applications using the existing tools

• Handle entry level troubleshooting of network technologies associated with IP network devices and backbone transports

• Participate in the advanced support team for resolving complex technical problems

• Identify replacement parts and their corresponding part numbers with ease

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the computer networking infrastructure

• Offer training to other operators, fostering information flow, welcoming feedback, and inspiring others

• Implement systems analysis techniques and procedures to identify software issues and offer recommendations to management

• Answer customer calls and apply systems analysis techniques and procedures to determine hardware and software issues without relying on a script or troubleshooting guide

• Document the processes necessary for building and maintaining company software in relation to changing site environments

• Use Microsoft products proficiently as part of daily tasks.

Requirements • Proven experience in an IT Services industry, preferably as a Hardware Analyst

• Proficient in Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Strong understanding of computer hardware, including the ability to troubleshoot and repair issues

• Familiarity with different types of hardware, their functionalities, and applications

• Ability to analyze complex hardware systems, pinpoint problems, and develop effective solutions

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information to non-technical individuals

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically

• Ability to work effectively in a team, as well as independently

• Demonstrated commitment to staying updated with the latest advancements in technology and hardware

• Flexibility to work in different shifts, including weekends and holidays, if required

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications related to hardware would be an added advantage. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
