  The Position

  Grounds Maintenance Workers perform landscape, garden and greenhouse duties such as planting, pruning, mowing, trimming, watering, fertilizing, weeding and snow and ice prevention and removal; and operate hand and power tools, power mowers, tractor mowers, trenching devices, forklifts and hoists.-

  PER EXECUTIVE ORDER 2023-11, ALL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS HAVE BEEN WAIVED FOR THIS POSITION UNTIL JUNE 30TH, 2024. Please refer to the link for more information: https://gov.nv.gov/Newsroom/ExecOrders/Executive-Orders/ Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.

  On Army National Guard facilities, will perform landscape duties such as planting, pruning, mowing, trimming, watering, fertilizing and weeding; snow and ice prevention and removal; and operate hand and power tools, power mowers, tractor mowers, trenching devices, forklifts, hoists, and scissor/boom lifts.   To Qualify:

  In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

  Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)

  Six months of experience performing basic grounds maintenance work; OR six months of experience as a Grounds Maintenance Worker I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.Special Requirements

  A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant. A valid drivers license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.The Examination

  The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience.
