POSITION SUMMARY - The GPS Technician will be responsible for the operation of map and route tracking GPS equipment and operating the GPS rover. Duties will include: * Calibration and maintenance of the specialized sensor system; * Calibrate machines outfitted with GPS equipment * Meet with owner representatives to meet project specifications (pre-construction, during construction, & post construction) * Troubleshoot problems, work with shop manager to order necessary equipment repairs * Attend training workshops to gain state certification * Attend manufacturers workshop to gain certification * Work in a quality control role between GPS projects * Report project results on a daily basis to the owner and project manager * Work both in a office and outdoors setting * Work hours up to 70 hours per week * Work 75 % of all Saturdays * Ability to operate heavy equipment while trouble shooting * Competent in Math & Technology * Surveying Experience * Full-time seasonal position ?
