The Manager level position for Riveron's Governance, Risk and ComplianceServices will lead risk-based consulting engagements independently and/orunder the direction of more senior members of the team. The role includesassessing risks, developing project plans and programs, performingprocedures on agreed upon deliverables, and evaluating/reporting oninternal controls. In addition, Managers are expected to conduct themajority of day-to-day project management activities on all of theirengagements, including project plan development, reviewing staff work forquality, status updates to clients and internal management, and mentoringof staff and senior consultants.Who You Are:Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance,Business, or another relevant field and CPA, CIA, and/or CISACertification preAt least 5 years of assurance, controls and/or corporatecompliance-related experience, including consulting, auditing, riskmanagement, or operational roles, and experience should include performinginternal or external audits from the beginning of an engagement or projectthrough completionAbility to lead an engagement with minimal oversight including experiencesupervising direct reports, and/or leading project teamsDemonstrated knowledge of business risks, controls, SOX, COSO,and/or control objectives for technology control frameworks, and workingknowledge of operating policies, standards, and compliance issuesAbility to review, consider, criticize, and/or audit operationalcontrols or process improvementsExperience interacting with clients, establishing credibility, trust andhealthy relationships What You'll Do:Gain an understanding of the assigned client's objectives as well as theirregulatory and risk management environmentLead projects in the areas of Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance/Internal ControlsExecute risk assessments in consideration of risk of misstatement and risk offraud in financial reportingAssess internal controls' design adequacy to mitigate financial,operational, and compliance risksIdentify control gaps and improvement items and design controls in agreenfield environment; design detailed remediation roadmaps to close thosegapsExhibit proficiency with creating internal controls process flows andrisk/control matricesMaintain the level of technical competency and professional care required forthe completion of assignments in accordance with COSO, COBIT, auditingstandards, and related control techniquesSet priorities, ensuring daily coordination among the project team, andmonitor progress against schedules, budgets, project/taskdeliverables, and status reportingPlan, review, and provide direction for the work of staff and seniorconsultantsCommunicate extensively with clients to drive expectations and report on thestatus of ongoing projectsDeliver oral and written presentations during and at the conclusion ofprojects by either recommending improvements or any operational/financialdeficiencies to executive leadershipStay abreast of emerging risk areas and related control techniquesStrengthen and maintain a network of industry contacts and establish newlong-term relationshipsFor applicants located in Colorado, the expected pay range for this positionis $100,000 to $175,000 (exclusive of bonus, equity, or benefitsfor which this role may be eligible).
