  ROLE OVERVIEW

  At Kroll, our commitment to operating as one team defines us. In a newly-created role, our Global Head of Strategic Communications and Marketing will design, build, and lead a proactive, comprehensive, and integrated internal and external communications strategy to support Kroll's overall business objectives and position the enterprise and its senior executive leadership team for continued success.

  As the steward of Kroll's global brand and reputation, the Global Head of Strategic Communications and Marketing will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Growth Officer and will have direct responsibility for leading external and internal communications, Board and other financial communications, corporate reputation, crisis and issues management, and corporate affairs activities.

  CORE RESPONSIBILITES

  Developing and leading a comprehensive global corporate communications strategy with clearly defined objectives to drive growth and brand affinity, and programs that support Kroll's business priorities and values to create a cohesive and authentic reputation. Developing and executing a global internal communications strategy to ensure that across all regions, employees are connected to the organization's objectives, leaders, and values, engaged in their roles as part of the broader enterprise mission, and holistically informed of company developments and priorities. Leading all external communications by designing and executing a world-class program that elevates awareness of Kroll as a category leader through powerful storytelling, creative content, industry affairs, and media relations. Staying ahead of the curve to ensure the organization is always prepared through the development of crisis management procedures and establishing an infrastructure to mobilize as required. Developing thoughtful, strategic, and meaningful responses to time-sensitive press inquiries as they arise. Driving the executive communications strategy for CEO and broader leadership team - responsible for all speaking engagements as the primary thought-partner and messaging expert, media interactions, social media activities, and other opportunities for targeted visibility. Operating as leadership's "peripheral vision" and eyes and ears and serving as a trusted advisor to the CEO - expressing an informed point of view on potential positioning opportunities as well as reputational implications of decisions, actions, and positions. Developing a data-driven thought leadership strategy and creating compelling content and stories from the business to paint a captivating brand narrative on both a global and local basis and increase brand awareness with key media and other influential stakeholders. Devising new, creative ways in which to tell the Kroll story and bring it to life with key external and internal stakeholders true to the company's values. Building and leveraging relationships of trust and confidence with key influencers and the media. Exploring and advancing emerging communications channels to engage in more interactive and innovative ways -from traditional channels to digital and social media, as well as live and virtual events. Building and curating a global content repository, including blogs, photography, bylined articles, fact sheets, corporate profile, web content, infographics, videos, and other communications materials. Developing and monitoring key metrics on content consumption and effectiveness along with regularly analyzing insights, trends, earned conversation and coverage. Attracting, retaining, and developing top talent and inspiring a high-performing team that works together to execute as it continues to reimagine how it can support the company's dynamic evolution and growth.

  Experience & Expertise

  Proven communications executive with 15 years of experience in related industry for category-leading multi-national. Track record developing and managing comprehensive external communications and media relations strategies across various channels. Adept at communications best practices and approaches to design strong brand equity both with internal and external audiences. Deep experience executing data-driven integrated communications initiatives in partnership with cross-functional leaders that drive employee engagement, build brand identity, and deliver on the brand proposition. Understands and shapes customer needs, creates distinctive value for customers, and builds deep stakeholder relationships. Anticipates and interprets market change; envisions the future and decides on strategic communications priorities. Strong facilitator and relationship builder, comfortable working in direct and indirect management of teams with multiple stakeholders. Demonstrates influencing skills with an ability to operate at very senior levels in large organizations. A hands-on, self-starter comfortable working in environments without formal authority over people or resources. Experience driving transformation and cultural change. Creates possibilities for new thinking. Experiments and collaborates across boundaries and invests in new ideas. A change agent with proven ability to lead change across an organization in matters that require a major shift in thought and behavior. Track record of collaborative leadership and relationship-building with all levels of a corporate organization. Deep expertise in developing and maintaining effective relationships with key influencers - beyond traditional media. Compelling and creative storyteller and visionary with a track record for advancing brands at scale. A leader who inspires and develops their team and strengthens organizational capability. Experience in fast-paced, high-growth, global businesses. Demonstrates foresight, resilience, adaptability, an appetite for learning and an entrepreneurial mindset.

  The salary range for this position is $250, 000 to $500, 000.
