  The Role: Global Account Management – Global Corporates & Public Sector (US Government & Central US region)

  The Team:

  Global Account Management plays a key role in expanding our largest customer relationships by developing a deep understanding of the customer’s strategic objective and building close relationship with the C-suite to position our expertise and capabilities for them to leverage. As part of the GCAPS regional Account Management team based in DC we are engaging and developing the customer relationship with the US Government & the most important corporations in the region.

  The Impact: This role helps us develop a deep understanding of our customers which enables us to build a robust pipeline of opportunities within the accounts and ultimately grow our revenue from within the account base. Further, it helps us to bring our Product organization closer to the customer in its efforts to innovate and develop new product offerings while simultaneously positioning S&P Global to have more wallet and mind share of the customer.

  Responsibilities:

  Expand our business relationships with the US Government & key clients in the Central US Region

  Plan, coordinate and participate in new business/client prospecting in the US Government & key clients in the Central US Region

  Work closely with our sales and business leaders to create a client/account strategy

  Monitor and evaluate key customer strategies, business trends and operational priorities

  Provide transparent financial and operational assessment of the health of our customer relationships

  Establish relationships and connectivity with senior level executives of these organizations

  Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

  S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $121,757 to $244,700. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications.

  In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual bonus.

  What We’re Looking For:

  Must be able to see and clearly communicate the company vision and the revenue strategy across all relevant functions and ensure the right goals are defined and met.

  Diversified experiences driving and implementing growth initiatives and experience in leading transformation.

  Minimum 10yrs of Senior Sales or Relationship Management experience in Financial Services

  Strong communication, organization, presentation and negotiation skills.

  Confidence in navigating and building relationships with C-Level executives.

  Well-balanced strategic and operational mindset.

  Strong discipline around long-term planning as well as near-term pipeline tools and reporting.

  Ability to make difficult decisions and set priorities based on imperfect information.
