Growers Holdings, Inc., a precision agriculture company seeks full-time Geospatial Programmer Analyst, Agriculture Specialist in Durham, NC to assist w/solving challenges related to geospatial agricultural data through use of advanced scripting & programming techniques & tools. Duties include: develop internal tools to automate complex geospatial processes to improve efficiency; use of programming languages (e.g. Python, R, Julia) to perform large scale parallel processing of data; participate in the system architecture design process & prepare design materials; analyze potential GIS solutions & perform risk analysis to prepare various business cases; organize & manage agronomic & geospatial data in multiple platforms to ensure high data integrity; develop, validate, & use methodologies to support analytic requirements in clustered computing environments; assist & train Data Analyst team members; work in conjunction w/Customer Success Managers to create project plans for customers; understand the entire data life cycle for the Growers business; identify issues w/ data, tools, designs or deliverables based on knowledge of GIS & precision agriculture; demonstrate total ownership for the GIS & agronomic knowledge on Data/Tech Teams; & collaborate w/ stakeholders & wider product & engineering teams to drive results.
