Description ●Manage fund-level financial reporting, including management and internal reporting, investor financial statements, partner allocations and capital account statements, management fee calculations, and other third-party reporting
●Manage third-party fund accounting, audit, banking, CFO and tax teams
●Manage capital calls, distributions, and uncalled commitments, including allocations and investor notices with support of fund administrators
●Manage management company and fund budgets
●Oversee filing of tax requirements and yearly audits working with third-party providers
●Manage fund credit lines, insurance, and banking products
●Manage the investment transactions/accounting, closing/sale funds flow process, accounting, and portfolio financial support/reporting along-side the deal teams
●Lead scaling of firm operations and workflows, such as Human Resources (payroll, benefits, performance review process) for small team
●Oversee external vendors, including IT and professional services providers
●Work with technology team to improve automation/reporting of manual processes
●Expand operational procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of firm operations
●Assist with special projects and internal ad hoc requests Requirements
Ideal candidate has a commitment to excellence in their work product, strong time management skills, entrepreneurial drive, and a desire to learn
● 5-8+ years of related experience in venture capital/private equity fund accounting, fund administration, or public accounting is preferred
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required. CPA preferred
● Strong technical accounting and analytical skills
● Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) is required
● Desire to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
● Organized, self-starter with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an ability to balance multiple priorities and problem solve
● Strong verbal and written communication skills
● Exhibits strong interpersonal skills, communication, and collaboration in a small team environment
● Desire to implement process improvement opportunities
● Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
