The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager or Payroll Administrator with a technical leaning profile combined with the necessary business skills who is passionate about payroll processes, systems and legislation. In this role, you will be given the opportunity to change career path to become a Functional Consultant, offering substantial potential for career growth and an abundance of learning & development opportunities along the way. Once you have undergone intensive technical and practical training, you will be responsible for the implementation and configuration of the SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) module across key Alight customer projects. You will be part of our SuccessFactors Practice and will work on payroll projects in the UK and Ireland.
This is an opportunity to move into a client-facing role. Therefore, you will need to have excellent communication skills and empathy needed to identify and address client pain points and articulate smart solutions. You will work closely with our clients to ensure that Alight’s solution meets their requirements and specifications. You will apply your technical knowledge, best practices, and country-specific expertise to ensure that the solution fits the client's business needs.
The successful candidate will be able to articulate ideas clearly and communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders, building excellent relationships and rapport. You will need to be a self-starter who gets a 'buzz' out of implementing solutions, delivering value to clients.
Prior hands-on experience of SuccessFactors ECP, although beneficial, is not mandatory for this position.
Alight is willing to provide the successful candidate full technical training, including the possibility of obtaining SAP SuccessFactors ECP certifications, to reach the desired technical skillset.
Role Responsibilities
Solution Design
Support the required workshops as laid out by the methodology, ensuring all decisions are accurately captured and recorded in relevant workbooks.
Undertake configuration as per the agreed design and direction of ECP Lead Consultant.
Define and document the overall configuration of the SuccessFactors module(s), making the correct balance between business, technical and functional requirements and constraints, as well as the compatibility with different solution components.
At the end of the project, ensure successful transition to maintenance teams, either Alight or other.
Support project resources in defining solutions in the event that a challenge arises during delivery to ensure that delivery is on time and within budget.
Data Migration
Organize and support the data mapping with client and implementation teams (Alight or Third Party Providers).
Ensure the client fulfil their responsibilities in term of data management, in particular with their data cleansing and data transformation.
Be familiar with data security procedures and requirements of both Alight and the client and ensure these are respected as part of the process.
Integrations.
Support the Technical resources in the definition of integration requirements.
Support in the delivery of integration solution workshops to clients and the completion of required documentation.
Test Activities
Carry out agreed Alight Testing and ensure all agreed issues are corrected prior to customer testing.Requirements:
Strong knowledge of payroll processes, systems, and legislation in the UK.
Knowledge and experience of internal payroll systems implementation.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
An ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passion for implementing and improving payroll systems.
Payroll systems knowledge and experience (SuccessFactors ECP is a plus).
Systems implementation experience beneficial.
Appetite to become a subject-matter expert on SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) modules.
