  Position Description

  Reporting to the Framing Manager and taking direction from the Lead, theFramer is responsible

  for the installation and assembly of the major structural elements ofhardware and steel required

  for building construction according to pre-determined quality standards.

  Responsibilities

  Ensures all work is performed in a safe manner and has a completeunderstanding of

  safety protocols, including emergency stop buttons, power switches andproper lockout

  procedures.

  Knows the OSHA requirements for the designated area and ensuresrequirements are

  met.

  Ensures awareness of all known hazards.

  Ensures appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is usedproperly, is inspected

  regularly, and is maintained.

  Accountable for quality and productivity in accordance with establishedquality and

  productivity standards.

  Maintains inventory in work area; report damage or lost material/tools.

  Uses various power and pneumatic tools i.e., drills, saws, nail guns,staple guns,

  hammers, chainsaw to complete tasks.

  Interprets drawings and transfer drawings to product.

  Makes patterns.

  Checks steel to product/drawing to ensure accuracy.

  Checks/corrects information on blueprints.

  Trains tool operators.

  Perform other duties as directed by management.

  Qualifications and Experience

  Experience in finishing, such as carpenter/cabinet finishing or Autobodyrepair work.

  Written and verbal skills sufficient to keep records and communicatewith other

  operators.

  Understanding Quality Standards for their area of operation.

  Safety Sensitive position requiring ability to lift up to 50lbs,walking, stairs, pushing,

  pulling, repetitive motion, kneeling, squatting and balancing, exposureto loud noises and

  dust.
