Description
Overall Responsibility: Arora Group is well positioned to benefit from the expected increase in infrastructure spending from recently enacted legislation, including the Inflation Reduction Act. We have particular strengths with respect to engineering and design for airport terminal new build, expansion and operations.
Well financed by recent investors we forecast growth, both organically and via acquisitions.
In preparation, we are working to strengthen and streamline certain business processes, including efficient and timely preparation and communication of management information and financial results.
As an FP&A Analyst, you will be a key player in further enhancing and automating our budget model, working with key department and project managers to prepare the 2024 budget. Thereafter, you will regularly prepare and present to all levels of management insightful analyses of actual versus budget/forecast for KPI's such as staffing levels and utilization, revenues, direct & indirect expenditures, and individual project level performance metrics. This reliable data and analysis will be used in decision-making and planning for the organization.
You will be comfortable in analyzing and understanding the general ledger of each legal entity in the group, helping ensure underlying integrity of data used to produce management reporting.
You will also be involved in the enhancement and greater automation of our cash flow forecasting process. We also seek to improve processes for providing supporting financial and legal information to the marketing department for proposals for new business, and for various business licenses and registrations.
Essential Functions:Manage Business Intelligence and reporting activities included but not limited to:Project revenues, direct project costs & profitability.Staff utilization and chargeabilityOverhead and non-direct costsCash flow forecastingRevenue, cost and profitability forecasting and budgetingFinancial statement reporting and analyses.Analyze trends of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Identify causes of unexpected variances and recommend remediation actions.Working within Excel using formulas, PowerPivot or pivot tables, Lookup functions, etc.Presentation of Profit & Loss performance and forecasting.Maintain balance sheet integrity with timely analysis/reconciliation of key GL accounts.Consolidation and intercompany accounting.Support with annual audits.Qualifications
Needed Skills:Must be proficient in MS Office (MS Excel strong user-required), Power BI (preferred), Deltek Vision (preferred).Prior experience of budget preparation, reporting and variance analysis.External auditing and accounts preparation experienceAbility to manipulate and structure data to provide clear, actionable recommendationsAbility to create and maintain productive relationships with employees, clients, and vendors.
Education/Experience Minimum: BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
Must have 5 - 10 years of experience. (At least 3 years of audit experience and up to 5 years of experience in accounting)
