　　Job Overview

　　This is a role within the distribution center of Simon & Schuster, a 100-year-old company with offices around the world. In this role you will be responsible foroperating an industrial forklift truck to accomplish various materials handling assignments.

　　What you will be doing on a daily basis:

　　Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to move materials within the warehouse.

　　Perform shipping duties, including verifying, and documenting outgoing shipments.

　　Inspect equipment for safety and report any maintenance or repair needs.

　　Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.

　　Follow standard operating procedures for warehouse distribution and materials handling.

　　Some requirements:

　　You must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.

　　Ability to accurately perform basic math calculations for inventory management.

　　Experience in shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.

　　You must have careful attention to detail and strong communication skills

　　Some analytical experience is preferable.

　　Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate product handling and documentation

　　You must have the ability to stand for up to 8 hours/day

　　Shift and Schedule:

　　Our distribution facility operates in 3 shifts and this particular role is part of the afternoon shift, working Monday- Friday (3:30 PM – 11:30 PM). There is an opportunity for overtime as well.What we offer:
