　　DESCRIPTION OF WORK

　　As a Forest Technician, you will provide technical assistance in the field and office within the Spotted Lantern Fly (SLF) regional offices to the Plant Inspection Program Specialists (PIPS) and staff to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. You will conduct tree inventory for host trees of Spotted Lanternfly and ground pest surveys as required, as well as assist in direct suppression, biocontrol, trapping, and sampling as required to control Spotted Lanternfly. This position will also require you to establish field study plots as required, collect and summarize field data in electronic format, and prepare written reports as required. Oversees Forest Insect Pest Aide (FIPA) 1field staff.

　　Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment.This position will continue based on funding.Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 50%. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. 　　QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:An associate's degree in forest technology; orCompletion of equivalent formal education in forestry.

　　Conditions of Employment:This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
