Let’s talk about Canteen One! We are the national account management arm for Canteen, the largest and most experienced food and retail service company in the United States. We help our clients take the best breaks possible by providing unique and customized office coffee, vending, market, and pantry programs from coast-to-coast.
Job Summary
This position is responsible for the sourcing, negotiation and selection of the supply base for National Accounts, including analysis and integrity of new and existing products and system set-up. At a high-level this is accomplished through vendor relationships (i.e. Canteen, Foodbuy) coordination and logistics, analytics, communication and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with vendors and National Account Managers to ensure compliance on client-driven programs (i.e. product, pricing, cost analysis) including assisting vendors with sources for purchasing products for National Accounts
Build, maintain and sustain long-term relationships with strategic suppliers by a high level of interaction
Conduct in-depth industry analysis to provide proactive insight to sourcing strategy
Take a lead role in integrating new product/program/initiatives into Canteen One’s internal processes and departments (i.e. Avenue C, healthy programs)
Project Management/Value Optimization (change management)
Review client catalogs for all new business
Suggest alternative items/set-up, such as company preferred products or suggesting a generic program
Evaluate contracted pricing for new business to insure price and item choice coincide and are aligned
Qualifications
Analytics and Communication
Monitor all sourcing projects and reports in regards to savings/costs
Create and track data detailing adherence to National Account program compliance
Communicate recommendations to the National Account and Vendor Team regarding changes to existing products offered and supplied for the existing programs
New/Change Product Support
Creation and management of weekly new product lists for pantry National Accounts
Provide operational direction to the sourcing activity and seek to add value to the National Account by supporting processes, which support the overall strategy
Add new items by providing set-up, including assignment of cross-references, corrections to existing items, and removing duplicate items
Review and update system to reflect discontinued items, preferred brand adjustments/major changes including system updates, Streamware/One Cup changes, updating package size changes
Education and Training
Must have a high school education and three years of business experience.
With an Associate’s degree, which is preferred, and two years of business experience.
Bachelor’s degree, which is strongly preferred, and two years of business experience
Experience in marketing, project management, operations and account management is strongly preferred
Knowledge of Office Coffee Services (OCS)
Procurement and sourcing experience is preferred
