As a Vice President program manager supporting our CORE (Control and Risk Evaluation) program in our control management group you need to have excellent communication skills in order to influence and/or negotiate internally, often at a senior executive level. The role also requires the ability to determine approach and execution of the strategy or set of goals and to direct program or project managers to meet or exceed desired outcomes.
Job responsibilities:
Provide CORE Subject Matter Expertise (SME) : Partner with the Controls Room/Control Management Product Team to enhance the CORE system. Proactively identify potential implications to the overall CORE user experience, and facilitate effective communication and collaboration with a large end-user stakeholder group
Champion Compliance & Oversight: Assist in the coordination and drafting of responses to Regulatory, Audit and CCOR inquiries related to the CORE Program (including exam/audit management)
Effective Stakeholder Management: Work in tandem with senior business clients and partners spanning diverse functional areas such as Commercial Banking, Asset Management, Legal, Finance, Compliance, and Risk while also bridging geographical gaps, fostering cohesive teamwork.
Coordinate Firmwide CORE working groups comprised of representatives from each line of business and function to articulate and solution problem statements including the identification of best practices
Manage the relationship with LOBs/Functions on behalf of the CORE Program to ensure productive and efficient execution through effective communication
Coach and educate all stakeholders on the agile CORE Framework and application
Expert Project Management: Manage projects and deliverables from across the team ensuring timely delivery and prioritization via PowerPoint, Excel, MS Teams, and Confluence
Nurture Cross-Functional Synergy: Foster continuous engagement with teams across Central Control Management (PMO, Controls Room/Product, Communications, Training, etc.) ensuring shared goals and enhanced productivity
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills :
Exceptional business writing skills; ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely
Strong ability to identify issues, directly address conflicts and escalate issues where appropriate
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote) coupled with an ability to quickly adapt to new technologies
A positive attitude teamed with exceptional interpersonal skills, including working in collaboration across large organizations
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
Intimate knowledge of the CORE system and functionality
Ability to successfully navigate, influence, and lead collaboratively in a complex infrastructure that involves numerous groups and individuals
A curious mind that prefers to go deep to understand details
Drive to continuously develop both yourself and the team you are part of
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred
5-10 years of relevant experience; financial services industry and/or background in Process Improvement, Program Management, or Risk Management & Controls preferred
