Fire Sprinkler Estimators collaborate with sales executives to build and implement a successful bid strategy. Our estimators focus on new construction and existing systems projects. Members of this team will also support Smart Building/DesigoCC integration projects, sophisticated integrations and networking projects.

As a Fire Sprinkler Estimator, you will:

Travel up to 10% and participate in customer site visits for job walks, interviews, or meetings as required.

Calculate, understand, and communicate product, installation, and commissioning risk factors before and during cost reviews.

Comply with customer and code requirements.

Coordinate handoff of estimating design to estimators.

Align with local operations team during cost review and technical handover meetings.

Estimate a complete design of fire sprinkler system per adopted codes and standards.

Perform hydraulic and seismic calculations.

Complete stock listing for fabrication.

Perform system(s) take-off: Quantifying equipment and device counts based on bid documents.

Developing a Bill of Material (BOM) and Scope of Work (SOW).

Offering alternate designs as per building code requirements, value engineering solutions.

Developing a subcontractor technical bid package and coordinating with the Sales Executive.

Communicating and collaborating with a geographically dispersed sales and operations team across different time zones.

Learning and utilizing company design, bid, and quote tools.

Assisting the sales team in addressing technical and pricing queries.

You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

Technical, product or administrative experience in support of Fire Sprinkler Systems, Fire Pumps, and Backflow Preventers

Mid-Level: 3+ years

Senior Level: 5+ years

Proven knowledge of building codes, regulations and building construction process

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

High school diploma or state-recognized GED

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate or Bachelor's degree

8+ years of experience with new and existing system construction design, installation, and code requirements

Working knowledge of AutoCAD, BlueBeam, and Microsoft Power Apps

The pay range for this position is $53,000 - $110,800. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
