　　Gilbarco Veeder-Root (GVR) is seeking an experienced finance professional to play a critical role in leading the establishment of our Shared Services capabilities in region as a complement to our existing Shared Services teams in the US and UK. Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has a focus on getting the numbers right along with a strong ethical bias. This candidate will have appropriate managerial and technical capabilities to provide confidence in their ability to drive improvements across the business as well as within the day-to-day operations of the accounting function.

　　[MS1]TBD - where does this position report in the org? Is there potentially a start-up path and then a longer term solution? For example - initial set-up will be fairly hands-on for the manager but longer term this could serve as an arm off the shared services organization tied to a regional controller.

　　In this role you will:

　　Lead the execution of the monthly financial close process for supported entities including review of journal entries, oversight of account reconciliations, and review of account fluctuations from historical actuals and forecast

　　Prepare financial information for consolidation into overall GVR and Vontier results

　　Own the execution of accounting transaction processing and support as assigned to the Shared Services organization

　　Lead the successful completion of internal/external audits and SOX compliance

　　Lead the implementation and maintenance of internal financial controls, procedures, and remediation plans

　　Own the build out and management of the Shared Services capability in region including hiring, managing and developing team members

　　Partner with other GVR team members to ensure all processes are appropriately documented and accounting policies and procedures are followed

　　Proactively seek opportunities to improve financial performance through reduced business expense, improved cash flow, and near & mid-term business decisions.

　　Be an entrepreneur by spearheading the concept of a business within a business focused on delighting internal customers by providing services to meet and exceed SLAs while driving KPIs to improve the cost effectiveness and efficiency of processes

　　Lead team members and interface with peers across the business to drive a continuous improvement mindset by treating inefficiencies and errors as opportunities through root cause identification and resolution

　　Ability to understand balance sheet accounts, their relationship with the P&L and business activities to ensure that accounting transactions comply with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

　　Proven professional with understanding of accounting theory, current accounting issues, and accounting systems

　　Hands on experience with internal control structures including documentation and assessment of design and operating effectiveness of controls

　　Demonstrated success coaching and mentoring team members for career growth

　　Working knowledge of consolidation and management reporting systems including process flows of ERP systems

　　Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively within all levels of the Company including those outside of the accounting function.

　　A proven track record in managing projects, meeting deadlines, and working collaboratively as part of a team

　　Experience and comfort with external auditors; able to interpret requests and provide deliverables to ensure an efficient audit

　　Demonstrated leadership capability and a strong desire to advance in your career through stretch assignments and personal growth

　　Metric-driven leader who values score carding and promptly takes action where necessary through root cause identification and counter-measuring

　　Experience leading a shared service team or working within a shared service environment highly preferred

　　Accounting (or finance) undergraduate degree; CPA

　　Minimum of 5 years accounting experience ideally with a mix of reputable public accounting experience as well as exposure to companies operating in a manufacturing environment
