Serves as animportant resource providing guidance and oversight related to thefiscal, administrative, and regulatory management. Responsible forcoordinating workflow to ensure compliance and deadlines are met.Provide fiscal reports for control and management of the Department ofPediatrics (DOP) financial affairs. Apply results of analysis to producerecommendations for management and department leadership. PrimaryFunctions Analyzes past and present Pediatrics\' financial data andestimates future revenues and expenditures, applying principles offinance. Conducts financial analysis and reconciliation, analyzes Incomestatements, and prepares accurate and timely reports. Generatesforecasts to analyze financial trends, funding resources and researchimpact of decisions and ROI. Performs complex analysis of data andidentifies and communicates trends, data manipulation, and reportgeneration. Administers financial, statistical, and analytical projects.Identifies and proposes solutions to inefficiencies and opportunitiesfor cost reduction. Investigates and resolves financial errors anddiscrepancies. Develops, generates, and maintains monthly financial andstatistical reports for internal and external distribution. Preparesannual budget for approximately 60% of the DOP\'s assigned divisionsincluding projections of revenue and expense, FTE, and PrincipalInvestigator productivity measurements. Analyzes monthly financial andstatistical performance compared to budget. Research variances andprovides insight as to why they are occurring. Acts as a financialadvisor for assigned divisions. Applies results of analysis of multiplecomplex reports to produce recommendations for management and variousstakeholders. Prepares ad hoc requests and provide financialinterpretation, and analysis. Develops financial and analytical toolsapplying advanced formulas and functions for multiple stakeholders.Provides administration of Pre & Post- award grants and contracts forthe Department.
