In our plant in Flen, in the heart of Södermanlands län, we produce ice-cream and offer our appreciated brands such as GB Glace, Magnum, Solero to our customers in Europe and other parts of the world. Our brands stand for quality, service and innovation.
JOB PURPOSE
This position is a great opportunity to further develop in three crucial parts of any finance leadership position: Business partnering, controlling and FP&A. As a factory finance manager you are part of the Flen leadership team, creating positive impact for over 120 employees, supporting and contributing in decision making process. You are taking active part in shaping the future of the site, not only as a finance expert but also as leaderteam-member (LT) responsible for quality of products, safety and wellbeing of employees and factory’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) agenda.
You provide decision making support to the LT, prepare the financial appraisal for investments and drive the savings agenda. The finance manager is also accountable for keeping compliance of the site to the Unilever control framework and audit requirements.
The role is part of a European team of Industrial Finance Business Partners and reports into the Ice Cream Network lead for Europe. On main accounting, controlling and reporting tasks the role is supported by Supply Chain Financial Services (SCFS), and a Make Excellence Team (MET) who are both based in Katowice.
Depending on your background this role could take on added responsibility supporting the Regional Director who covers 4 factories.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
Business partnering Factory Leadership Team to drive site performance
Responsible for projects governance and delivery of in-year financial performance
(costs/capex/waste)
Responsible to ensure site on-ground controls are executed (inventories, purchase process,
IFRS 16, balance sheet etc)
Co-creates and co-drives savings agenda with operations and uses available industrial tools to support (ZBB, Manex)
Budget Planning, Forecasting, weekly cost governance & Month End Activities
Drives long term strategic planning for the site (Masterplan and BP) guiding the site leadership on the key value items
Supports decision making for strategic projects with ad hoc data/analysis
Supports in the design and implementation of transformation plans for the Ice Cream network
Participate in central projects to build finance capabilities for other sites of the cluster/ network. Supports ABC/ transfer pricing process led by SCFS
SCOPE OF ROLE:
End to end ownership of full P&L and balance sheet for the site. This includes:
Site perimeter production costs and volumes
Material Waste
Business Waste – Cost of quality, Obsoletes, AWO, R2
Network Responsibility leading an European Process to be defined selectively based on Factory and individual leading edge criteria. (Possible processes: CAPEX, Waste, Shift Patterns, Controls, etc)
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Skills Overview: Analytics, driving performance, stakeholder, management, collaboration, influencing, make decision, willingness to learn
Mobility requirements: Role to be based at the Flen factory with minimal travel
Standards of Leadership: Bias for Action, Accountability and Responsibility.
Professional qualifications and experience: Finance/Business degree.Preferred +5 years working experience in Finance, preferably in a business partner role in a production environment.
Fluency in Swedish and English
