Overview

　　Element is currently hiring for Field Technician at our Fort Wayne, IN facility. Field Technicians are responsible for driving to and from different client sites to pick up or drop off samples, and to support laboratory operations by conducting the relevant microbiological testing.

　　Responsibilities

　　Log collected samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)

　　Perform a variety of laboratory tests and experiments

　　Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies

　　Provide additional support to the microbiology department as needed

　　Safely drive to designated locations to collect food samples for testing

　　Examine samples upon pickup to verify that they are properly sealed, labeled, and match the provided documentation

　　Skills / Qualifications

　　Some science education or currently enrolled in a science degree program preferred, but not required

　　Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and procedures accurately

　　Good communication skills, both written and verbal

　　Self-motivated team player with excellent organizational skill

　　Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving recor

　　Proficient driving skills, including the ability to handle various driving conditions and weather situations with composure and caution.

　　Strong organizational skills to maintain a well-organized sample collection system within the vehicle, ensuring samples are correctly labeled, segregated, and protected during transit
